    Default RDs with blue displays

Currently using a V1, but I much prefer blue displays -- just not enough to make a significant downgrade. Arrows notwithstanding, I'm curious as to whether there are any equivalent windshield units that use blue LCDs.

Off the top of my head, the only two of which I'm aware are the Escort 8500 x50 and Escort 9500ix. The former is probably a bit worse off on Ka band; not sure about the latter.

    Am I forgetting about something?

He did mine with several colors. You can see it if you click on my profile. Its also on the zombie group page. Languy says, you can only have one or two blue leds on your display because they use to much power or something like that.

Whistler Pro 78-SE looks like it has a blue display. Just listing it for completeness.

It's difficult for me to read blue on a black background especially at night. It looks pimp, but would rather have red or amber on mission critical displays.

I wonder if different people's eyes respond to different colors. For me, the blue is not good. I got rid of my 9500ix because of it. Now use a red X50, 9500i, and Redline mostly.

FWIW, I had a blue RX65. When using it in bright sunshine, the display literally disappeared. I could see the little led blocks where the letters were, but couldn't see the letters. The sun actually hits the angled display of the RX65 differently than any detector I have ever owned.

I have an RX65 in blue also. It is difficult to see in the sun. My first one was a red display and it was easier to see in bright light. The Redline is good because the display is recessed a bit blocking the sun.
