Hit with KU for the 2nd time.

Once again, policeman parked on the shoulder, and I get hit with KU to full alert. Is it possible that they have KU guns out in some parts of the US?

Sometimes my V1 reports K band (Automatic door openers) as KU.

Did you see any police car? If not, ignore your alert as a false alert...

set your detector on "frequency display" and you should be able to figure out what's going on...Then match that frequency to what the new KU radar's are on to see if they match. :wink: It may be just a harmonic you are picking up..

V1 doesnt do the freq display does it? There was a cop parked off to the shoulder when my KU went to full alert. THis is the 2nd time this has happened :shock:

From what I've read OH seems like the radar device capital of the world so I wouldn't be surprised if police were "testing" KU and not telling anyone about it...

I would not be surprised either. ALL tests should be conducted in Ohio REALTIME (like Bob did in his tests only it was not in Ohio). Speedzones tests to me are not real world. Come on 11 miles of detection range! The most I have ever seen was about 2 miles and that was on Kband.
