    Default 2 detectors

Can you run to detectors at once? I mean I know you can, just would it screw up any range on either of the 2 detectors? I was thinking about running my Whistler SRT30R behind my mirror and having the Whistelr 1773 a little above the dash.

Why I asked is because I figured that if I used my Whistler 1773 and when I get an X50 that I would use the voice alerts on the 1773 and have the X50 for it's long range detection.

    wouldnt do it...

You will get falses on the x50 from it, and the x50 is gonna be beeping wayyyyy before, so you will reconize the tone before that voice alert even announces the band

And here's what Michael B from whistler had to say about it:

But would 2 of the same detecotrs screw each other up, I mean the logic that it would not interfer with itself let alone another same modle??? Do you follow me?

Only advantage as some pointed out would be to dedecate one detector to Ka.

    Yep, they sure can.
One detector alone will never interfere with itself, because at any point in it's sweep it will be receiving a frequency signal than the oscillator or harmonics are producing.

But with two detectors of the same model, each one could be at a different point in it's sweep, potentially producing signals that interfere with the other.

So far, I'm pretty sure that my local cops only use Ka bands. I've picked up a state trooper in the city even using Ka.
