I have x band turned off to get rid of falses, but I'm curious if cops still use it occasionally just to pull a fast one.

If they use it, it's because it's all they have, not because they're trying to pull a fast one. There simply aren't enough people who even bother to turn X-band off to make it worth it out of the minute percentage of drivers that even have a radar detector.
But yeah, I've seen it several times in two different states in the last couple of years.
Twice today. Moorestown and Mount Laurel New Jersey.
They use K and Ka as well.

Never, it's supposedly illegal in my State for them to use it. I still live it on for the curiosity factor but the only thing that's ever thrown X band at me has been motion detectors.
Last time I think I got hit with X band was on the way to nowhere, kansas from Tulsa, OK. I didn't see the cop, but it sounded real judging by my detector. I turn x off when I'm in tulsa and turn it back on for houson cause the locals still use it here, it would seem.
A couple weeks ago. There are at least 2 MPH X units that I am aware of in town. The one up around the airport is consistently using I/O. The one on the east side of town normally just leaves it on C/O.

Only in NJ in the past 20-odd years.
Last time I saw X in NH was in the Belmont area, circa 1989-1990 or so. They had ancient radars with huge antennas that a cheap detector could pick up 5 miles away. I'm sure they've upgraded since then.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!
If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

Almost every day. Locals in my town only run X-band. My Redline could pick X-band up in a forest. No chance unless they're using very selective I/O.
