    Default Mines better than yours!

Ok everybody its time to be real(honest). Were always having debates on why the v1 is better than the rx65 and how the rx65 is better than the v1. How the x50 has better k detec than the rx65 and the rx65 has better detec on ka than the x50. How the v1 has the best laser detec but the x50 is 2nd in line and then rx65, but once you get a laser reading its to late anyways right? I could go all day because we all know its always be debated about. But look at the numbers. When it comes down what makes which detector best what really counts? Forget all the features and tones and muiltiy threats, and etc. Lets keep it simple and say what we all want is just to know when were approaching a LEO tracking speed. So when we normally say and the reviews do too, all the rd are side by side. If the rx65 alerts you to a LEO .20 seconds faster than the x50, does that make the x50 better? X50 gives you .30 of a sec than the v1 does that make the x50 better than the v1? If the v1 gives you a 1sec faster detec than the x50 on a laser hit does that make the v1 that much better? When you really look at it all 3 will pretty much on a average be within 1 sec of each other. Saying "one thousand one" is the time that seperates each rd. So how much of a 1 to 2 sec diffrence really matters everybody when they all give you at least a mile warning to slow down before you even could get clocked?

It's very true that they are all very similar when it comes to sensitivity. The differences between the top-tier detectors, (RX65, V995, X50, V1, and I'm assuming the STI but we'll see), is features. Each does its job a little differently which is great because each one of us has a different idea of what the "perfect" radar detector should be.

If you want bang for your buck, the V995 is king and the V1 and STI are miserable failures. Want crazy laser sensitivity? V1 is the king, and the STI is promising on paper. Low falsing? RX65 and X50 seem to have the best selectivity of the bunch.

True but I don't belive the sti is going to be as good as the top three. I think money has a lot to do with everybody beliving its going to better than the rest. If the new STI only cost $199.00 would you still exspect it to beat the top 3?

Yea, that is how I see it. To me, the rx65 and the v1 are parallel in radar detection. ok, so the v1 beats it by 30 feet, so does that make it better?

It comes down to personal preference. Would you rather have the 30 foot more detection range and that increased falsing with the wider antennas? Maybe. Would you rather have laser detection that could have a slight chance of a prewarning on laser at the cost of falsing to break light and neon lights? maybe.

I personally want a detector to keep quiet and alert to police, not ever store that I drive by. Others want absolutley the maximum protection they can get. and thats fine. But to go off and say one is the best detector, you really have to think.

But honestly most forum members dont care when people comment their detector is the best, because we have had so much of it people are just exhausted and dont want to deal with it.

WELL SAID! My Rx65 is the best for me, but I certainly understand that for some people, the V1 is best for them, or the X50. The truth of the matter is that there is no universal "best". Hopefully some day soon we'll have a detector which we can all agree on as being the ultimate in police protection, but that day is not today, and until that day we all need to get along.

    Jimbonzzz only uses the best.
And since jimbonzzz uses the V1 and the RX-65, those are the best

No no you have it all wrong. Happya$$ uses the best and since happya$$ uses the V1 3.826 and the Escort DSP then these are the best

But Raul works for a RD company, and he only uses RMR, so those must be the best! .

Seriously, I wonder if RMR employees use their own products.
