This is the statute for Missouri and licence plates. Do you think they are saying you can have a licence place cover as long as it's clean and you can see the numbers? Tell me what you think.
301.140. Each such plate shall be securely fastened to the motor vehicle in a manner so that all parts thereof shall be plainly visible and reasonably clean so that the reflective qualities thereof are not impaired.
- The plate would be clean with no debres - LaserShield would keep the plate clean. LaserShield does not block the plates numbers or its visiblility.
This is on the MO - DOR website however it does not match 100% of what the statute reads.....
OTHER EQUIPMENT REQUIRED BY LAW
In addition to the equipment needed to pass the safety inspection, Missouri law requires other equipment.
LICENSE (REGISTRATION) PLATES - Missouri law requires that license plates be securely fastened to a vehicle, and that all parts of the plates be visible and clean for view or inspection by any law enforcement entity. If you have frames around your license plates, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reminds you that the frames must not cover any part of the plates.
- Again no mention of a plate cover, just the frame
