    K is narrow = 24.15 GHz
Ka is very wide, most common freqs in the USA
    34.7 GHz
    35.5 GHz
    33.8 GHz

but there are others. Actual radar frequencies will vary from these center values

Depends on where youre located, what jurisdiction youre talking about, and what band. K band is all the same. it can be anywhere within 100Mhz of 24.150.

Ka is as described above, with variance that can be pretty severe in the officer hasn't calibrated their gun in a while. Look at my post in the radar bands by town thread. I linked to some research i've done on my particular areas of travel. It'll give you an idea of how much it can vary between departments and guns.

What is considered "out of tune" for a 34.7 radar gun? Example, I encountered 34.5 today but I couldn't remember the last two numbers behind the decimal. More importantly, is the Belscort accurate with this?

According to IACP standards, for a Ka gun the tolderance is +/- 100 MHz of the freq the gun is spec'd at. So for 34.7, anything from 34.6-34.8 is considered "in tune", anything outside that range is considered "out of tune".

However, laws governing the intervals at which the radar guns need to be checked/calibrated vary from state to state, and possibly even from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

The Belscorts can display anywhere from "right on" the actual frequency of the radar to 30 MHz or more off of the actual frequency.

Belscort RD's aren't right on the money and vary unit to unit, each unit calibrates slightly differently. I don't know the exact variation but its not that much. Probably based off the 30MHz blocks like the 9500's.

Edit: beat me to it Jim.

Try to remember this for Ka, MPH Industries (pop) is 33.8, Applied Concepts (Stalker) is 34.7, Decatur Electronics and Kustom Electronics are at 35.5 in the Ka range. The single K band guns from all of the makers can cost less than Ka guns therefore Counties/Locals may own them more often than the Ka gun which has a tighter beam @ higher freq... Look in your Leo's car and see what maker the radar unit is, if it is Ka, then you will know if it is 33.8, 34.7 or 35.5 without a freq. meter (hats off to Belscorts for the freq. meter).. If a X band is used, it would mostly be a MPH unit....
