Help please,Bought my REDLINE in the US and

So i live in LA and because i planned on staying for a while here in Switzerland i had my car transported over here,and per recommendations from someone who really knows radar detectors i decided to go with the new REDLINE.

I hoked up the RD and went for a drive and that thing was constantly showing me K bands i mean every minute or so driving through the town.
It got so annoying i just removed it.
I tried using some settings but there is Auto,Auto no X and Highway.

Was i wrong buying this newest technology RD assuming it will work here in SWITZERLAND and it just doesn't ?

Please guys help,should i sell it or can i reprogramm it somehow?
I even had it hard wired and all.

it will detect Ka Band and Laser..
K band Police radar is pretty rare in SoCal....

Auto mode will reduce the amount of false alerts but they will still happen. RedLine is all about detecting signals with little filtering of false alarms. It is more for use outside of cities with a lot of false radar alerts.

If you would like a near false alarm free detector with excellent, but less than RedLine, detection range then I recommend our Passport 9500ix. If you are using it in Europe then I recommend using our European distributors. They are programmed for use against European radar threats.

I was specifically told by one of the members here,that the one i got from the US will work here....was he wrong??
i feel like i spent 500$ bucks on something that i bought based on a professional recommendation and now it doesn't.

I love my Redline I have mines set on x off and auto but I do get those speed sign on K. I know where they are at so I don't worry about those much and I don't really speed that much in town so it's not a problem. What I really got my redline for is highway and it is awesome in ranges.
