Well, the Australian modified V1 is picked up from further than 12 inches. Question is, if a Spectre 4 is released can it detector these detectors without detecting a lot of other things too.

I suppose there would be Spectre falses as well, but, does the STi work on a specific frequncy that they can tune to?
From what ive seen it is about the same weight as a RX65...Originally Posted by CactusMan

We've made some tests and even leaving the driver side window open effects to the detecting range. For example; facing antennas witn mod V1 and our own (self made) RDD does NOT alert when RDD is outside the car and V1 inside. But if one opens the windows - then the RDD goes off ...
So those inches doesn't matter - but it seems that there is something coming out of STi´s case.
Does anyone have access to a laboratory to test the STi for emissions?
yeah DET does, he is awaiting a sti to test...and we are all awaiting his results
It shouldn't be hard for DET to get his hands on one now, there is dealers in Australia who have the STi already. I am wondering why they have them, yet Roy is still waiting for his first shipment (due this coming week) .
aparently the plan was always to release in Australia before USA/Canada
The dealers over here are stating that the AU/NZ version of the STi has differing specs to the US version, but after some investigation, I have found that the specs advertised on AU websites are exactly the same as the specs from Beltronics and RadarRoys websites. The dealers over here have quite a large markup on them compared to buying from the US direct.
yeah...aust has STI-XR as the name...all specs are EXACTLY the same...
