A detector that could eliminate a false by GPS. Or at least show the lights but automute the volume by GPS.
Maybe Uniden holds the patent since they had one once.

It would be a COP detector, and not just a radar detector

I take that back. How about a detector that will alert you to cops who don't even have radar on!? I mean like a cruiser detector

Self selectable frequencies (like 34.3XGhz)... just like 990i, or perhaps even selectable ranges.

In some states, the "Beartracker" scanners work like this...

Ya, there use to be one in CA called the "Chips detector" if a CHP sent or received a call you could pick it up within a three mile radius. Uniden, Beartracker? Which one Jim? Discontinued?

    Like this?

This is actually programmable, so it could technically still be used.

The Uniden BCT-7 was a full-sized scanner with the "Highway Patrol Alert" feature, which has been succeeded by the current model BCT-8 and the similar RadioShack Pro2051.

The BCT-10 and BCT-12 were derector-sized and mounted to your windshield or visor like a radar detector. These have been discontinued. I hope they make a replacement model, but I'll be surprised if they do.

    Jim
