I drive a 2010 Infiniti EX35 (w/o any laser cruise control or collision detection). I live in Howard county about 10 miles southwest of Baltimore. Half of my driving is in Maryland and half in DC/Northern Virginia (where I can only depend on my eyes). Every 4-6 weeks I drive through Pennsylvania to northeast Ohio to visit home for a long weekend. I'd like an RD with remote display capability.
I am leaning towards a V1. I'd like to place the detector right above my rearview mirror and just below the tint bar, but I'm concerned that the the rear-facing antenna won't see out the back window because of the roof-line of my car. If I move it below the mirror, I'm afraid that I'll lose optimal coverage out the front. I've read that the V1 should be placed as high as possible.
Also, will an EZ Pass sitting right next to the RD interfere with anything?
