Why is mounting your Radar higher, Better?
This post got me thinking that why good for radar, it's not ideal for laser detection. I remember back in the 90's when laser was new; detector manufactures sold stand alone laser detectors. I can't find them anymore...?
They would be handy for people doing stealth installs. On the forum others have been visually caught using a STI or Redline (illegal use, where they live).
Doing a visual stealth install usually requires sacrifice of radar or laser range. High mount, behind fabric ect... Sure you could get a scattering front plate cover, treat your lights with veil, keep a sharp eye and hope for the best. But that's not ideal. Either is a remote version tucked low in the grill or under the front bumper.
