Default Gender User of RD ?

My guess is that more men than women use rd .

My ex was always against me using my rd .

My now wife is not against using rd but she refused that I use it in HER car ... good compromise .

Which percentage do you guess ? mine : less than 20 % female .

I don't know the real figures ...

When a rd made expressly for Her ? Mirror included ....

Reminds me of those handguns with the pink velvet grips

I think the % in places where they are banned (exc. Virginia) is much less than in areas where they are all legal and you can get 'em at Wal Mart.

Mind you, I see women who drive crazy fast all the time, :?

I'll bet most women with RD's had them given to them by men.

It's also a key thing to remember, it is much easiler for a woman to, erm, "flirt" her way out of a ticket than a guy...

x2 Woman (often times) can 'explain' their way out of a ticket, or at least have the LEO be a little less stingent on the citation.

Unless the Leo is guay ...

Could be the possibility the Lea is lesbian ...

The true solution is a good combo of countermeasures

My girlfriend likes radar detectors. She wants to drive my car sometimes so she can use a detector. We took a trip and I let her drive so I could sleep. Looked over at the speedo when I woke up and the needle was at 105mph.

Her car(Jetta) doesn't have a good place to hide a detector. I told her, the best option is the visor clip wth it hard wired but she doesn't want to hard wire it for some reason. Jetta's suck, there isn't even a place to tuck a phone cord along the pilar.

I had mine tucked in my GTI the last time I needed a windshield. Only the final 2" show above the visor. In retrospect, I probably should have gone with a grey cord instead of black (it would be much less obvious against my grey headliner and visor. I also got the extra dark top tinted windshield to hide the RD a bit better. Very happy with it now

As for women and RDs, I've introduced several and they now use them regularly. Men seem more interested in technical gadgets in general, but women love RDs once they discover their usefulness.
