Default Can you slow down when getting hit with instant on?????

I was just wondering if there is enough time to slow down when a LEO hits you with instant on radar?

If YOU get hit with instant on: No.

I would say maybe if the situation is in your favor? and you hit the brakes instantly as well and not traveling toooo far over the limit

I would say in the right conditions it might be possble, but it's not too likely.

Well let me say it this way ...for all intent and purposes No.

    If you take into account:

The RD gets hit with an instant on Radar Signal... it takes time to react.
You then have to interpret the alert... takes time (however little).
You then have to go from gas-to-brake pedal..... takes time.
The car has to slow down... takes time. (Especially w/out diving the Front)

99% of the time a situation is *not* in your favor if an LEO is good enough to use instant on, be very selective about his targeting... and then targets you without you spotting him first.

I would say it is about like the odds of getting a pre-warning alert against LIDAR... is it possible with scatter: yes. probable: no

I did some imprompru testing with my k band gun and unlike older guns the newer ones have no problem locking on.
I could shave maybe 5 mph or so, but this was anticipating the alert and the gun could follow the slowing speed.
if you're not ready for it you're basically screwed.

I've heard of it working with very old radar units, not the fancy new kind that will register your speed instantly. Even then it was a matter of jamming the brakes as hard as possible at the exact same moment that the cop triggers the unit, preferably before.

So the answer these days is no, you don't stand much chance if any of beating the radar.

What about a vehicle doing a panic brake (max brake application) like say 90 mi/h down to 60mi/h however before the radar is triggered? Let's say you are going 90, see the cop, you nail the brakes, by the time you are going 85 cop turns on radar.
