Redline or V1 HELP!!

I know this is a heated debate but I did some research and read all the reviews on Redline all the YouTube videos etc. I havent really any crazy saves with the RedLine... one day driving to my gf's house I passed a trooper that had someone pulled over on an off ramp curve - redline only gave like 3 bars warning when passed. Drove past three cops and it didnt beep once (yes they prob didnt have radar on). Although one nice save was at a stop light and it started going nuts, 30 secs later cop drove by infront of me. I was sold on all the videos online and the reviews from radartests.com etc... but now for some reason I am thinking of going to the V1... purely for the arrows...well also $100 cheaper... smart move? discuss!!!

If you already have the Redline, I would not change. Redline is a top performing RD with the best range of any window unit. You might want to have it "tuned" if you are not getting the performace that you are normally used to.

The V1 is also a great RD. It has very good range but it's IO/QT response (along with the arrows) sets it apart. I love my arrows and if I had to do it all over, I would still buy the V1. But if I had the Redline I don't think that I would change. They are both that good.

What I like about the RedLine is the auto mute feature and how compact it is. V1 looks very wide but not tall. From many of the videos i've seen RedLine has amazing range but I haven't really seen mine perform like the ones i watched, mainly Guy's speedtraphunter videos. i think what sold me was the off axis detection video on "the dragons tail" and one where a cop was set back in the median and it went off so early. what i like about the v1 is its $100 cheaper, heard it has better laser (but then again by the time it goes off u have a ticket attached to that laser beam) the arrows are a HUGE selling poing. I find my redline give a KA or K with 2 bars and I find myself wondering where the guy is sitting only to never see or hear it again, false alert maybe?
I have it on highway, no X, SWS POP TSR Off. On bar graph mode (not sure about other modes) and I have it mounted high right above my review mirror.

I have been thinking of getting both, once i know for a fact that escort has improved their quality control on the redline units. After reading around, i bought a V1 largely because of quality problems with the escort redline. When i pay more than an iphone or droid 2 extreme, and all the thing does is beep and scan for radar signals, it should not break, ever.
