    Default GOL Test...

To accomplish this, instead of shooting the radar straight down the course, we decided to angle it across the road.
Is there any idea how the radar source was aimed? Personally I think this would provide a lot more insight as to why the test results performed as they did (In no way discrediting anyone or the test). I would just like a little more info.

Not sure if I'm clear about the question . . .

e.g. : A straight 180deg line from the RADAR SOURCE would be most difficult to detect I assume

The police radar was mounted straight ahead in my Firebird, in the spot where it is parked in the photo on the results page.

I shot a little video on how it was aimed. I will have it up tomorrow. I will also show how we tested the detectors. There is no video of the detectors themselves but rather how the cones were placed. Also there will be video of the officers that we talked to.

Is anyone interested in the video? If not I won't mess with it as I know this was mostly a photo event.

    Wow...

That's a pretty sharp angle, and there is a huge wood pile hiding your car from oncoming cars. Radar detection was rough with this setup.

jimbonzzz, it seems everything was placed to simulate a real world situation, no worthless 9 mile Ka alert tests from 'other' testing groups.
