I am just perplexed that any individual would spend money on a radar detector unless they have a bottomless wallet full of money. Just my state maybe, but the cops are trained to leave the radar on stand by and when they see a vehicle traveling fast (which you can clearly tell when a vehicle is going over the speed limit) they tap I/O and you're done. Where did the radar detector help you at all in this situation? I have passed maybe 3 cops in 2 years with constant on, the rest were all I/O at me. I agree they are fantastic at finding the local drug store, supermarket and cobra detectors, but seriously? Unless you drive on the great plains or desert highways they are utterly useless. And all these saves you guys seem to post? If you drive 10mph or less over the posted speed limit you're not going to get pulled over anyways so that's not a save; in fact that isn't even speeding in my book. Driving 20+mph over the speed limit is speeding. I seriously want an actual real life test done, not at my expense, but to prove the efficiency and effectiveness of radar detectors. Please come to my state and drive 20mph over the speed limit everywhere and I guarantee your V1, 9500ci, Redline, STi, STi-R, will get you a nice $250 dollar ticket when you get hit with I/O. Moderators will delete this post I'm sure.
