My radar detector has these senstivity ratings:
X - 110 dBm
K - 95 dBm
KaP - 95 dBm
KaW - 95 dBm
Laser - Better than 1

Are they good? what are the ratings on Rx 65,V1, X50? Any one know?

That sucks pretty bad! What is your radar detector? Even the lowly PNI's supposably have X, K, and Ka sensitivity of -104 dBm, -111 dBm, and -104 dBm respectively.

Let me guess, you're using an older model Road Patrol from Radio Shack?

It is radioshack model U gussed it right ops: I am thinking of echanging it for Bel E 795. Is it better than the radioshack one jim? will that be a good decision as I dont have that much money right now...

I'm not sure if the E795 is better or not.

For the RX-65 and X50, sensitivity numbers are in the neighborhood of:

-110 dBm X
-106 dBm K
-106 dBm Ka 34.7

Some versions might be slightly better on X and K.

As for the V1, that is anyone's guess....

I believe that every three (3) points is a doubling of sensitivity. So, yes, 10 points is quite a lot.

Actually, every 6 dBm increase in sensitvity basically doubles theoretical range.
