Default What do you guys think?? x50 or rx65 or pro 3450

What do you guys think of the 3450, is it worth it?
I was thinking of buying one of these- x50, rx65 or the 3450

    x50 blue is $275
    >+ 35.00 for direct wire cord
    x50 red is $245
    rx65 is $225
    3450 is $174

money is tight so 275 would hurt..

and I would like to have a remote unit like the 3450 but I don't if its a good one..
I just can't make up my mind so post away
    Thanks, Craig

You'll get better performance from the X50 or RX-65. If performance is what you are after, I say get the RX-65 and run in USA mode.

At those prices you aren't buying from an authorized dealer!!!! Do NOT do that!!!! Onlt by from authorized dealers the money you spend will be much better when you get the warranty

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Those prices are too low. There's nothing wrong with a good deal, but buying off of Ebay or from an unauthorized dealer you are asking for trouble in more ways than one. Buy from Radar Roy which ever way you decide.

do these dectors have problems? is a warranty that important?

(no offence to any authorized dealers)
I'm used to selling cars so finding deals is in my nature

Warranty is absolutely critical for any make and model of detector. They are sensitive instruments and fail often enough that you don't want to take the chance. Just save until you can buy from an authorized dealer so that you don't have to take the risk.

In my personal opinion, blue displays suck. They look cool during the day but they destroy eyes at night. Not worth it to me.

    My two cents.

what do you mean by destroy eyes at night? too bright? I want to make it so other people out side of my car can't see the display, or I mean see that I have a radar dector..
I dive an ex-cop car and it doesn't look good to have a radar dector visable..
That is why I >was< thinking about the pro-3450, I'm putting a over head console from a blazer in my car and the display of the 3450 would have fit perfect inside where the temp/compase display is.. oh well...

a few of the ebay sellers offer warranties. dont know if they are any good though. Is there any autherized dealers that will give us a group discount if we can get so many members to buy the same detector?
