Okay, so I've seen a million times here that the consensus is, to mount your V1, Redline, STi Driver etc high in the cabin and to the left of the RVM for maximum range. I'm going to get an STi-R Plus soon and was wondering: why do people recommend high and to the left of the RVM for the portable detectors, but when mounting an STi-R, STi-R Plus, 9500ci, people always mount the radar receiver low in the grille or around the bumper? I have a rock solid visor holder I got from another vendor. It houses my Redline nicely. Why not just put the STi-R Plus radar antenna in the visor holder and save a ton of money on the install? My setup is high and to the right of RVM. If it's good enough for the Redline, why not the STi-R Plus antenna?
