Got caught at 63 in a 50 tonight. The LEO was heading opposite of me and made a U turn to come get me.
He was nice enough to let me off with a warning. I asked what he was using and he said Nascar. I said "Nascar" and he said "That's what they call it."
Obviously, it wasn't Vascar. So I further inquired if it was radar or laser based. He said it was laser, though my warning notice says radar. The LEO said he could clock me from the front, side, or rear as I passed him. I think he may have just been throwing out some misinformation to confuse me.
So the question is... is there a full time laser-based in-car system that the LEO's are using? I thought all laser was instant on.
