i dont get it.
Why are the prices for the bel rx65 and the escorts the same as the prices at radioshack and the bel and escort websites? Where is the insentive to pay shipping if you buy online compared to just going to the store? or Why not just buy it straight from the company? I will still buy from radarbusters.com out of respect of all the testing. But shouldn't retailers sell for less then the companies website?

That's the problem - you are comparing Radio Shack....whic in my entire 34years has NEVER had something WORTH buying for a "beat everyone" price. I don;t look for the 2 day sales or anything. You want savings? Buy it used and prepare to send it in for the 50$ repair.

Thats just it. radioshack is soposed to be over priced. yet they have the same prices on radars as everyone else. Every company I have ever seen sells there products for more then there retailers to get you to buy from there retailers. It just doesn't make any since to me why radar detectors are diffrent..... I guess they just use a diffrent marketing plan.

Yeah, the prices are the same but you can't walk into Radio Shack and buy the RX65, you have to purchase it online through Radio Shack. It is not an in store item.Originally Posted by Quinc

I'd rather buy from Roy than RS because w/ roy I can get a. a board member discount, and b. with Roy no Sales Tax!! yaaah.
So if I do ground shipping, I come out ahead.
Send Roy a Private Message and maybe he will give you a discount code for the purchase of one online from him.
