    Default Concealed Detector options

As the STI R+ and 3600 have both been recently released I have been considering upgrading my protection. I know that they are very different and the STIR+ is much closer to the 9500ci and the Whistler 3600 is similar to the QI-45.

However, I since the differnce in price is $800 (STIR $1200+ vs. 3600 $400** assuming GPS+rear detector) My question is, is this protection really worth it.

I generally deal wiht 35.5 and 34.7 KA on highway (or laser) and laser+KA 35.5 or K city.

Does the STIR+ have the rear option like the 3600 does?

So is it really worth the extra funds in performance?

no rear option for the sti-r +
sti-r is more like the ci with sensitivity
but from what i read the 3600 can hold its own
i heard the 3600 does very well against Q/T, has good rang the range is similar to a 9500i

Based on the reading I have done you can't really compare them since I believe they run differnt platforms (M3 vs M4). This is why the STI R+ is compared to the 9500ci and the 3600 is comparable to the QI-45.

    @ That guy--
Since I am running the 9500i now I don't see a reason to spend another $400 if I am not going to get a performance increase. Is the 3600 really a better performing detector?

I am going to make an educated guess and say "No" based on how sensitive the V1 and Redline are and that the 3600 is probably not much more sensitive than the SE series windshield mounted detectors.

you get better q/t and the rear antenna for directional purposes, the rear antenna does increase performance, i'm not sure on the range though i have not hooked or even opened my 3600 yet
