    Default POP illegal

Listen to this one....out of no where my dad comes home and was like a guy at work told me your radar detector is illegal. I'm like dad no its not i'm 110% sure that it isint. Well to make a long story short he was like "well maybe not the radar detector its self just POP"

I'm thinking thats the dumbest thing i've heard in awhile.

That is the pretty dumb. But... when travelling thru NY I thought I saw a sign that RDs were illegal on the Thruway. Is that right by any chance?

    Completely correct VOLVOrob.

I've seen signs in NY at the border from Canada that read something like:

    STATE LAW
    RADAR DETECTOR USE
    IN COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
    OVER 10 000 LBS. GVW
    PROHIBITED

Also the ones that say "don't pass school buses that are stopped"

I can't help but giggle. I have a buddy at work who came into the states recently, and one day he had a puzzled look on his face, he explained that he passed a stopped school bus (picking up kids - lights flashing) and he over took the bus on the left side, the bus driver was honking and yelling and my friend was like WTF. I explained to him that was a HUGE NO NO. He felt so bad, he was like sh*t, I did not know. Needless to say he has learn very fast (lidar ticket) it was a BS trap, one of those PSL drop areas.
