The STi-R Plus will be receiving interference from the V1. The acceptable amount of this interference is up for you to judge. Several users, such as djrams and CJR, have no problem using them together. The main symptom of the interference is delayed alerts and missed I/O alerts with the STi-R Plus. The V1 isn't being interfered with by the STi-R Plus so you shouldn't notice any difference with it's performance.
Detectors leak mostly from the horn opening. The only way to limit emissions from the V1 would be to block the horn openings that are receiving radar which then obviously prevents it from detecting, a catch 22. This is why the M3 was such a breakthrough. It is a different design of antenna, not just a normal detector antenna that has been modded with shielding. These emissions are in the microwave spectrum thus easily reflected by certain objects causing intermittent interference.
GOL's Spectre III test results (at the very bottom of page) show that there are substantial emissions from a V1, both front and rear.
