Programming of the V1 will not get rid of false alerts. The "L" modes work well for X band and you can adjust seconds of initial muting for K band/rear antennae alerting.
The number one way of eliminating falses is manually locking out falses that you have proven to yourself with gps. That is the way that I use the 9500ix. It would be awesome to that with the V1 but I seriously doubt that will ever happen.

Yes, the V1 wont "eliminate/get rid of false alerts", but it can be programed to almost completely mute falses. IMO its 2nd to the 9500ix's GPS filtering.

I use the time muting to give me time to double tap my remote mute button. Works very well for me. But I agree VR should add some kind of GPS filtering.

If you are smart enough to program an RD, the V1 is for you. If you're not that smart, and need a machine to do all your thinking for you, then spend an extra hundred bucks on an Escort. Everybody's happy that way, and the vast majority of RD users will still still get pwnt, so we don't have to worry about cops beginning to think that they work!
How is yours programmed? Which settings?

GPS filtering has major flaws. The University I attend has a police department located on campus. There's virtually always a LEO within a mile. GPS filtering leaves me flying blind.

Good thing that V1's can't J-out cops, too.

I have a Cheetah Mirror, so I could hook my V1 up with that.
