Uniden/Cobra is probably middle of the road. Ramp up is useless but I have one that actually picked up Ka over the hill. There has to be worse products manufactured by our Communist friends.

Three letters: R M R. From tests I've seen they perform even worse than Crapras.

But Crapra is worst for leakage. And Uniden, but they don't make RDs anymore.

Older RMRs are worse than Cobra. Actually for that matter certain older Cobras are better than new ones at least on K range. I've borrowed a modern cheapy Cobra and tested it and it wasn't as good at K band as the one I bought at a Kmart that closed in 1994. I'd say Uniden but my sister had one back in the day and thought it was great. There are probably worse Chinese models that haven't even seen the US shores yet.

A question like this will show the truth because we are not focusing on the 10% we argue about here 100% of the time. There are Cobras RMR and a few other that just suck, total junk. Then there is all the good performers from V1/Escort/Bel, even whistler.

The RMR would be the winner IMO.

The most garbage RD I have ever seen used was a Early Warning radar detector. My in-laws have two of them for each of their cars and they are garbage !!!

Cobra and RMR, are the worst, I don't know how RMR continues to sell there so called garbage that claims they can jam police radar, or how they can get away even saying they can jam, they ought to have there patent yanked from under them
