The police in my city seem to have an unlimited budget. They recently got new toys to go on top of their new Dodge Chargers. It looks almost like a spotlight and is mounted on the light bar. I read about them in the news; apparently the device can read license plates and run them through the computer without the officer ever doing anything. If the plate comes up hot, or there is a warrant, etc. the computer alerts the cop. Scary how advanced this stuff is.
Anyway, I am driving by and the cop is approaching head on from the other lane. When we are about 20 yards apart my V1 goes crazy with a laser alert and then stops after the officer passes. What could possibly have triggered the laser alarm?
Despite all of our fancy equipment and being a big metro area, the city must only have one or two laser guns because you can see the patrol cars don't have radar units, and I have only been tagged once with laser in the past year.
