Default Repost Due to Lock Up :( "I stand corrected"

Ok Im back from the trip with a messed up cheek my trip to dallas was a mistake i got helded up at gun point in dallas by some black guys not being racy by saying black guys just telling the story (sorry dont want to offend anyone) Anyway im vary vary lucky to be writing to you guys today I thank a higher being for still having my life today so as i write I still have my X50 and V1 thank u god i no longer have my v1 box with the hard wiring stuff manuel extra suction cups and visor clip Nor do i have my escort case so to make a long story short i was vary lucky they didnt not finsh the job im 3 credit cards lost and $150 short and a box of trash in the trunk with all my car wax , car cleaning , and car oil purple whirle and additves gone but i still have my car and my RD's and my life oh yea my cell phone was jacked to but nothing i cant take care of at a stop sign in i guess the bad side of town i got told by what look to be 5 or 6 black thugs to get the F*** out of the car and Knocked with the butt of the gun while trying to think for a split sec of what to do anyway got out of the car and got knocked out by sum big big dude anyway before i got shot this car pulled up and just laid on the horn they poped my trunk took the 2 radar cases and the 2 boxes emptyed my pockets ect.. sum dude was getting into my car and i had a gun to my chest then that car pulled up behind me and laid on the horn anyway the guy got out of my car and the big dude threw me into my car seat now im a big dude 6'1 and about 220 lbs so this guy was sumthing anyway i had my V1 running and i guess it didnt catch there eye and my x50 was in my console now the cases where in the trunk now i was at a hotel so my biz stuff ect.. was safe. anyway i drove away kinda fast well i was going about 100 on a feeder lol so im taking this a life experiance. As for the RD review the X50 beats the V1 by a long shot inside the city i had to remove my v1 while near any part of down town or the out side of downtown the X50 got all the cops lerking in the city for speeders and the freeways near downtown. the x50 is worth all the money if u live in the city or u go downtown alot or work near industrys. the V1 i loved to use on the long drive catching all the state troopers about 2-8 miles away altho i hated stoping by gas stations i swear i didnt even need a sign telling me that there was a gas station 8 miles away my v1 was going nutz and i was listening to a good song to so beside that it was nice to have some feel of freedom on the road with the v1 for sum reason the v1 In L mode cuts the range by alot so i was kinda upset about that but still it was vary good the x50 i used on the way back i was not to happy with the range or maybe it's my RD it showed up at like half or alittle below half on threats so it would be like im almost to the threat with the v1 it would start from the littlest circle and work its way up with the x50 it would show that im half way to the threat so im woundering if that the filtering working or ???
the X50 was ok on the way home just not as good as the v1 now remember in texas it's like open country from dallas to houston so there no tree's just hill and grass and fog hill country basicly compared to the 50 buck radar and $199 beat them by far with the x50 and the v1 would just put them to shame just by pluging them in. i did like the fact that the x50 filtered out of all the falses downtown it filtered out the speed sign that was hiting people when they got off the freeway on to the feeder. To Finsh up my Fav would have to be both still!! both RD's to Me are vary vary VARY different I think they call one a radar locater???? lol oh yea i forgot the arrows really neat to look at but trust me people let me stress this to the future RD buyers the arrows are not what u need to look for in a RD plus they jump around all over the place some times so dont trust them i would never swear by the arrows that would be me swearing by RMR well that would be going to far lol i honest think these RD's should not be compared how people compare them

I really can't say that I've seen any significant loss of range in L mode... except on the x band.

Running in X mode is akin to running the Escort in Highway Mode. It will pick up every radar source in the known universe, and thus in a city it will drive you nuts.

Really to compare falsing, you should run the V1 in big L mode.

I drive the same stretch of false plauged rd every day here. I've had a pre-pop V1 and an old 8500 in L and Auto mode respectively. I ran both detectors (not at same time) through this same area, and had both alert to all of the same falses at the exact same distance each time. I really cannot see a significant difference between the V1 in L and the 8500 in Auto as far as falsing goes.

I run In A because it seems to cut alot of range with Logic and adv.
