    Default More bogus SML tests?

    radar detect det

It seems like they claim the 9500ix and Valentine One both "alerted to VG2 use". As far as I'm aware, neither detector has VG2 detection or VG2 cloaking; they just moved their LO out of the range of what the VG2 looks for.

    Yeah, they also:
-claimed that EVERY unit did K-band POP2 (which is untrue and only one of them has been demonstrated to detect it with any level of accuracy),
-failed to mention the LI at all, used ramp-up/signal strength as the unit of measurement to gauge sensitivity (and NOT distance),
-made the Solo S3 look almost as capable as the V1 and Redline (which is RIDICULOUS),
-did NOT test the RX-65, 8500 or 8500 X50 (which are benchmark detectors),
-had the poorest explanation of methodology I have ever seen a 'professional' organization publish,
-did NOT specify the firmware on ANY of the models (so that V1 could be from the 1990s for all we know), and
-even used different cars to test different detectors, which has screwed the results in itself.

IMO this test makes them look as if they are either: biased, incompetent, careless, or a combination.

Well, certainly their testing methodology was poor and sometimes downright misleading, and I guess their understanding of POP is amateur at best (it's also not true that POP can't be used in moving modes as they claim)... But if my knowledge of the two detectors mentioned is correct, then this is blatantly lying. They claimed those detectors gave a VG-2 alert when they had no such feature.

Yes,they are lying when they stated that the IX and V1 alerted to the VG2. Neither detector is able to do that. Furthermore, the Solo S3 has that ability if you turn VG2 detection on in the menu, they screwed that up too.

Every year their tests and results get more screwed up and stupid. Only someone ignorant of how radar really works would find their site informational.

This is really low. Ironically, the page says:

It is important to note that representatives of the radar detector makers rode in each car as some detectors must be put in the RDD mode or other modes to insure their detector will perform as designed.
You would think that the manufacturers would've slapped some sense into them.

You reminded me that we were confused by how they reported the 9500ix and Solo S3 to be undetectable. Then, the Spectre and VG2 testing was CHANGED a day later, to show that they were detected and even gave a distance in which it was detected.
