theres my baby.
theres my baby.
thats exactly how mine is mounted, i think its a great setup
i ran a wire from the fuse box to the back of the rearview mirror.... cleaner install with no wires hanging down
detectors looking good!!!
ok wasnt sure. people say high, some say low. i cant mount too high because of the position of the mirror, and low is too low so i thought this would be a good compromise. i might lower it a little becasue the rear laser "eye" is blocked by the mirror, even though even if i were being shot from the back, itd be too late, but maybe it will give better rear radar detection?
wonderful!! . now thats how my x50 is mountted now i used to havce it very high above the reaview mirror anway you will get alot more rear range if mountted this way keep us posted on how good or bad the x50 works for u :P
so far this has worked very well. had it for about 3 weeks. can pick up a K band speed sign at 1.2-1.5 miles. should i lower the x50 down slightly so that the rear laser "eye" isnt blocked, even though if i were targeted from behind itd be too late, but by lowering it slightly wont i get better rear radar?
hum it kinda hard to say but i would 1 inch lower or 2 maybe could be a little better just dont go to low.Originally Posted by againstme!
just low enough for it not to be blocked by the mirror but high enough to not be blocked by the wipers and to "see through" the other cars glass right? my s-10 is barly leagal, very very low. so i think mounting high will be equal to a low mount on a normal car/truck.
seems like you are in the right track :P let us know how it works out for ya peace i am out for today time to go smoke a bowl :P  :wink:Originally Posted by againstme!
looks good however try mounting your baby on the right side of your rear view mirror, and run a concealed telephone cord where you head liner meets your windshield there should be a small enough gap to shove a wire there and then run it anyway you want to connect power.
why place it on the right side of the mirror? a reason? same height or higher/lower?
