Clarification Appreciated Regarding Instant-On Radar (Not I/O Lidar)

Is there anything I can change in the settings to make my 9500ix more sensitive to I/O radar?

Would it help if I turned GPS off when I am on the highway?

No

I already always keep it on highway mode. Any other settings or techniques I can use to increase my chances of picking up I/O radar better? I'm willing to give up some of the filtering of false signals.

There is nothing. I have been asking for a solution to the same problem on my 9500ci for literally, three years now. I even showed Escort several real world failures, against real LEOs, on video, to prove that their detectors have reactivity issues. Still nothing. I finally gave up and bought me an STi-R Plus.

I thought the guys of lidar figured out the 9500ix is better at instant on with GPS filtering off.

No, we did not. We did get better results on that particular test, but the sample size was way too small to come to that conclusion. In fact, unoffical testing has shown that GPS on/off has zero effect on the 9500ix's reactivity.
