    Default K Band POP

As we all know, HappyA$$ loves to say that "you have a better chance of being hit by lightning, than by POP"

    What about K Band POP?

Everything I have read says that K Band POP is extremely rare, even for POP, and that only a very few units are out there at all.

That might be true for 16ms K-Band POP. I get the feeling that the Z-Series guns might not be that common. But who knows, they might be common in a state that uses MPH Industries as it's primary radar supplier, since that is basically what MPH has to offer for handhelds.

The BEE and Enforcer will both take K-Band antennas. A unit with such a configuration might be attractive to a department that wants to save a little money, but still wants the features of MPH's high-end units that aren't available on the cheaper Pythons.

Of course, we'll never know if POP is actuallybeing used by the police that have these units or not. I say cover your a$$, just in case.

I agree with Jim, you never know, so always keep it enabled... and if they want to be bastards, they will use every trick out there, so you're best defense will be knowing everything that's going on around you.. situational awareness as Mike V puts it.

I know NY has a contract for the MPH series that feature POP, don't know if they use the POP mode on it however.. I'd imagine they would be in for a load of problems, being a very legal-minded state, people would be on them over it..and if everything we hear from Mike V. about POP being grossly inaccurate is true, it would really be a problem.

Hey GOL, next time you're testing, why not do a POP accuracy test, just for kicks?

Actually we DID to that back in August, we targeted a vehicle with pop and at the same time targeted it with a lser gun. I think it was < 1000 feet range though. We have a video of it somewhere, it might make it out eventually...

Less than 800 POP guns Nationwide sound right Jim?

I thought I remember Jim saying this:

There is no way that Sethy was hit with K Band POP then...
