OK, so I have used Valentine 1 in the past and while I loved the arrows and interface, it was extremely noisy in the NJ/NY area. Basically a smattering of X and K bands that would make me ignore real threats since it came on so much. This was before savvy.
Lately I have been using a Redline with Escort live. It's great - perfect performance, and Escort live lets me "learn" and store all of the false alerts so I don't get them again. Plus I mark my own speed traps when I see them so I can see what to expect.
Here's my problem: There is no direct wire cord yet, and I have to have the plug and hanging cords all over the car. I really dislike that, makes it very messy. Plus, I need to leave the phone on which drains the batteries - unless I get even more cords and connect to charge it.
So performance is good, but execution is lacking, and escort is really taking long to release this hard wire cord. And I miss the V1 arrows.
Given that, I like how cleanly the V1 will integrate again, and with Savvy a lot of false alerts can be suppressed. Plus, I was thinking to auto mutt K and X band. I drive in NJ and NY, but I rarely ever see K or X. I auto block them on the live anytime I see it come up, so I rather just see them but auto mute. Is it possible to mute those 2 bands on the V1?
So what do you guys think? I know in the future when the hard wire version of live is out, I may even change to a 9500CI or Redline again, but I'm really sort of aching to try that V1 again and have a more streamlined dash and car interior. It's not only for appearance, sometimes Escort live takes my focus away from driving since you have to look down and swipe on it so much.
I'm open to ideas and inputs!
