Falses are also a big no no for the general public. Most people will hear one door opener and will have one encounter where the LEO did not have his radar on and will toss the thing out the window.

On the highway for 2 hours daily and figure it's slightly above 10%. Half of those I know they are coming with Ka Guard OFF on the V1.

one in ten ? can't agree. It may be in your area certainly but not all over the country. One to 5% at most and 5 is stretching it.

I would say 2-3%, if I had to guess. The majority of those are running low end/worthless detectors.
