Default Traveling I 81 thru VA

Issue has probably been beaten to death, I am running an 8500 X50 Black with Escort Live, very aware of the Spectre issue, I was either not going to use it in VA or mount it on the dash on the drivers side and quickly turn it off if radar is detected, has anyone gone this route, obviously a PIA to quickly turn it off and on again. Any thoughts on this process ?

I just traveled I81 between 66 & 77 a few weeks ago. Mount it low, unless you have it mounted above the rear view mirror. Although the amount of GPS units mounted on the windshields and dashes is staggering, a coiled cord may be a dead give a way to the revenue collectors in VA.

I make that trip thru VA every year and don't worry about Spectre the way I used to. I've yet to experience it. People say it's often used near the borders of the state.

Just remain aware of your surroundings and nearby LEOs

A CB radio helps to know where they are at especially out on the freeway.
