Laser Shield Legal in NY state?

hey I want to order laser shield until it gets warmer and I can apply veil ------ I know this has probably been addressed in previous threads but the search kept timing out ------ anyone know the legality of laser shield use in NY state?

I don't believe so. Something about "terrorists like to drive fast and attract attention" got any kind of cover on the plate outlawed. IIRC. Don't worry about it slap it on anyway.

I think years back a NYST pulled over my brother and warned him about speed and ticketed him for a license plate cover ------ the cover was for looks not laser protection but pissed the trooper off something fierce.

Is the thing clear looking/hard to spot or is it really obvious you've got a cover slipped on? :?

It is NOT legal in NY state but I use mine anyway...It's only visible up close

They are illegal here in anus country also, but I still use one. Speeding is illegal too, I don't get why you won't break one law to save yourself from another law you are breaking?

Illegal just make sure noting illegal is in your ride when you are crusieing around. some cops look for little things that you might not supose to have on your plate or something else just to pull you over i know dark tint can cause cops down here to pull you over mine it the litmit but i had a few cops stop me for this reason a few times but i laugh they wont catch me sleeping :roll: if you are clean then do what ever but if not :wink: then :P.anway :P :wink:

You bring up a good point Cartilo, being in law enforcement though I know they will always find something wrong to stop you for. I have seen the excuses...... :wink:
