Default Would this mounting location work for a remote detector?

If "regular" detectors work best for radar mounted high, wouldn't mounting a remote detector like a Whistler 3500/Bel 975R higher that the bumper/grille in a car work better for receivng radar? If a car had a sunroof and one of these deflectors tall and long enough to conceal the antenna :

at least w/the Whistler, the laser antenna can still be mounted inside on the windshield over the wipers to get the lidar signal. Would this location make a difference in signal reception?

Should be great if you can conceal it well enough.

    x2,

On a car (for radar detection) that seems to be a primo place to put a remote mount, but as brick said its all about concealing it from curious eyes.

I did some tests with my old SUV when I had a sunroof, it seemed to detect earlier to radar but missed alot of laser hits.
