Odds are out of NJ you wont get any true X-band encounters the whole way through, but I (personally) would rather not be the person to find out, the hard way, because I turned X-band off on my RD.
Honestly I dont know anything about that route... so I cant tell you any speedtraps, but I will say stay safe and heed the advice of the RD.
I have driven from NJ to FL several times. The X band will not go off enough to be annoying on Rt. 95.
nice, what i wonted to hear...Originally Posted by joop1987

Ah spring break time is it? Today I saw the freaking GIRLS GONE WILD bus, it was so huge, it looked like a double decker coach bus. Man I saw that drive by I was like WHAT the hell is that doing in my town, the city has really drove away all the spring break party action (Ft Liqurdale).
Anway, as far as Florida, turn off X band, beware of possible POP, which translates to watch out for Instant On passing central florida and Palm Beach. Also wathc for under cover cars.
And very important, beware of airborn VASCAR, there will be no warning signs, look for the white lines on the asphalt and then look into the air for suspecious aircraft.
I traveled that route with my Escort 8500 X50, from Miami to Baltimore. I really did not run into any X band, however i have recieved mostly K and KA alerts. mainly instance on. and a few POP warnings. I cant remember any laser encounters. Georgia and South Carolina were hot spots for me.
I did it in 13 hours start to finish with another driving providing relief as needed.
your call on this one, let us know.
