pro 78se or new?

I currently have been running a pro 78se whistler for 2 years. it has started acting crazy. sending back to whistler for repair.....thinking of buying whistler cr 85. gps of cr 90 not really needed.........my question is....worth buying or wait for pro 78se to be repaired???!!!. thanks

Personally, I like Escort, Beltronics and the Valentine one radar detectors better than Whistler products, but that is my personal preference. So I would buy one of those.

Unless your willing to spend ~$400+ for a V1 or RedLine you will just be buying a new similarly preforming RD. I would wait for the 78se to be repaired if that's not in your budget. The 78se is a good performer for its category/price: http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...tml#post913425

I prefer Escort/Bell like YC, but they are a bit of an investment, but well worth it IMO and im sure Roy can get you a deal on a RedLine.
