Two questions...
1) those that live in VA, do you use your RD a lot? If so, have you ever had problems police detecting you
2) How have you hide your non cordless RD. I am sure that there are creative solutions

1a. Yes, everytime I get behind the wheel of my vehicle.Originally Posted by asianfire
1b. No, never had a LEO detect it or see it other than thestampcollector.
2. Very carefully, so it can't be seen and it will still perform at 100%.
Im surprised you don't own a BEL STI StealthJamal?
Where can we find one at?Originally Posted by Cloud9
I don't need an STI in Virginia yet. I will be getting one in the future. Gonna wait for Bel to sort out the software revisions and then I'm gonna order one from Roy once all the current demand blows over. I'm guessing I'll probably buy one in 3 or 4 months. I'm not in a hurry to get it.
factory direct from Bel...but its a 10-14 day backorder wait. everyone else says coming soon.
If I lived in VA i'd buy one asap. But you know the local LEO better than anyone else.
Maybe MIKe V. will make a stealth V1 this year.
They not using the Spectra yet?Originally Posted by stealthJamal
It is very very unlikely that a VA police officer will use a RDD to find your detector. I would say that 99% of the time they issue a citation for a radar detector, it is after they spot it in the windshield. A lot of out-of-staters get caught with them because they aren't savvy or care enough to hide them properly.
i suppose mounting it to where it rests on top of the rearview mirror is a good place and also the top of the dash in between the wiper blades as long as it has a clear view? for hiding it from direct view.
Can they site out of state drivers for that? I mean how are they suppose to know?Originally Posted by Karnivore
