Which is great for radar, but does little for laser, which is what he OP was asking for.
Lucite makes a great light pipe, but it's certainly not pratical to try and create laminate for your windshield.
Really, for what you're asking, your best bet would be to build a dedicated laser detector that utilized multiple sensors located at various places on your vehicles. Say a photo resistor at each corner of your windshield, directly under|over|next to your headlights, and one on each side of your LP.
The Laser Jammer forum has a some schematics posted that could probably be adapted to do just this.
Then if you can figure out the wiring input to your RD, you might be able to design a interface that would allow you to trigger your RD's LASER alert (say, like the
Beltronics 905 can use a Beltronics RD to alert you to the fact it's sensed LIDAR).
