    Default Radar through fiberglass

I'm considering getting a remote RD like a Whistler 3450 or Bel 975R. I've read that you can mount the radar (not laser) sensor behind fiberglass and it will still work. How much does moutning inside fiberglass impact the snesor's ability to pick up a radar signal?
