When driving into my garage, I sometimes get a KA false... I suspect it may be my dishnetwork satellite dish reflecting my radar detector's own harmonic back too it.

I notice the exact same thing! In my driveway, about 1/10 the time, and I've got an ExpressVu dish. But, it's not oriented properly...

I have had my X50 about 1 month and have yet to see a KA alarm. Is there anything I can test it with?

IMO, AutoScan with POP disabled will cut down false alerts tremendously and about 5months with myRX65 it never had false alert on KA except few times alerted POP when enabled POP mode

Lately I have been getting a lot of Ka alerts ( quick short bursts) in quiet subdivisions......where I know for a fact the cops are not running any radar.

Be glad you're not getting KA alerts. With this frequency you encounter many more threats like same lane tracking, faster vehicle tracking, POP, etc. If I had it my way I'd keep all the radar guns in the K band frequency.

Yes, I know you have these features in K band as well, but it's not as popular.
