I actually made my own lasershield.
In the plastics industry they use lasers with outputs in the 800-1100 nm range for welding plastics. Many companys use carbon black or graphite to absorb the lasers energy to weld the plastic. These materials are great except when using clear plastic. One does not want black matter in clear plastics visible after welding. So science has come to the rescue with clear treatments that work as well and also transparent film> One of these companys has sent me a 9mil sample. This is now my new front plate cover. It absorbs >85% of IR radiation that hits it. Its not going to last forever I think. But for now I "believe" it works.
