My dad was travelling with my BEL 985 near Jacksonville, IL. He was doing about 15 over. As he approaches an unmarked dark blue vehicle with no light bar on top traveling in the same direction up ahead he gets a full KA alert. The dark blue vehicle up ahead slows down....lets him pass and then pulls him over. He gets a ticket. He had no advance warnings leading up to the full blast. Nailed with instant on. The car must have had rear radar. Evidently, that community hired a Illinois trooper to patrol that area for them. I wonder if a V1 would have had better range and picked up a warning before he got nailed. Is there anything he could have done differently?
