POP mode

Yes i get some POP falses but i got my first real one today!!!!!

On I-90 westbound, A NY state trooper hit me with his POP gun!!!!! Luckily I was not going any faster than the traffic around me.

From the looks of the gun it looks like he was using the MPH industries Z-25 or Z-35

I have gotten a couple of flase also but every once in a while ill get one and next thing you know bout 1/2 mile down the road hes in the middle shooting I think in pop b/c i stay in the fast lane but lower my speed to see how well my radar detector works and it goes off and stays on till bout 100 yards past him which i thought it pretty good. 8)

Then the other day I was on main st in buffalo and I got a level one laser alert I thought it was a rite aid or a cvs door opener but turned out to be a cop going the other way just driving.....I'm assuming he just left his gun on or something because the level of alert kept going up as I got closer.

Where on 90? I travel back and forth from CT to Schenectady constantly. I didn't want to pay the $55 for the upgrade but it looks like I may have to sooner rather than later.

$55 is nothing especially if your area uses POP

I don't know the exact location on I-90 but it was somewhere between exit 35-40

Thanks! A bit farther out than I usually driver but certainly in the right neck of the woods. POP upgrade here I come...

I travel normally between buffalo and rochester but I do go to schenectady for family once every couple of months and its normally superwide ka band past the syracuse area or laser but I only go that way a once in a while but I do know lots of state police officers and most in western ny have laser. :cry:

ops:

Never done an upgrade myself but I think the limiting factor is shipping. By most accounts VR only has the unit in their hands for a day or two before shipping it back.
