    Default Blue X50 and V1

I'm just wondering but thoes that have owned both units what ones do you guys like more? I was thinking about testing out a V1 for 30 days to see if I'd want to buy one. I'm always saying to my self "man i wish i had arrows"

I had bought an x50 and I returned it for a V1. the x50 is easier to program and more hands free, but I feel the V1 offers more for your money and better for the longterm.

Also the blue LEDs on the x50 look cool during the day, but at night they are very bright. Our eyes become most sensitive to blue at night time. If you go for the x50 I'd probably go with the red version.(its cheaper and easier on the eyes at night).

i sold my Blue X50 for my V1, and have absolutly no regrets. i LOVE my V1. but dont get me wrong, i still love the x50, and if i still had it, i would still be using it. but in my personal preference of where i drive and what i like better, the V1 takes it by a hair.

I got rid of my x50 and bought a V1 as well. What I didn't like was that the x50 in POP mode drove me crazy because of the false alarms. Mk

I own both, and prefer the X50 over the V1, I am not impressed at all for 400 dollars what the V1 gives me (first a bum unit), then detection that is exactly the same as my X50. (They go back and forth by about 2 seconds a lot).

The blue screen at night (as long as you arent an old pokie) R4E it wont bother you, never has me...and its the only display that wont dissapear in the direct sunlight.

All-in-all they are both great units, but I would take an X50(Blue) anyday...cant go wrong with either. I just cant understand 2 things:

    1) Why dont you go with the one you like more, who cares what other people say.

    2) Why not just use the search function, this topic has probably been covered.... oh... 2.2 billion times.

I'd like to test out the V1 myself and see how it works, however I'M not going to shell out 400+ on a V1 right now, I'd rather have a Laser Jammer for the front and back of my car.

As far as the brightness on the X50 (Blue) just dim it. If you dim it all the way down you can barely see it! If this does not work turn it so its on dark mode and it will just display an A, C, H untill it picks up a signal.

I have both and the blue display is nice. The V1’s display is hard to see if the sun is shining just right on it. The V1 has better K and X band sensitivity, but if the cops use the 35.5 frequency where you live, I would stick with the X-50 because it gives me better distance every time over a hill. Both are excellent detectors.
