x50 owner switch to a V1........dont know.

There have been a few head to head reviews of the x50 on the highway showing inferior performance over the V1. It worries me. Much of my driving is highway, but I still want an effective city RD as well of course.

However, what is REALLY holding me back from switching is what I hear about the falsing the V1 has. All these reviews do mention how much the V1 falses you to insanity. How are current owners dealing with this?? Can any current owner of a V1 be more specific about just how much the V1 falses and what bands?

I own both the x50 and the V1. I use the x50 in the city, and the v1 on the highways. I think that the range kills the x50. But then again the filtering- well I dont even think there is filtering next to the X band.

It falses on laser and K band commonly. THe bogey meter will jump up and down so quick you can not tell if a real threat lies ahead...

Thanks for the honesty there....that is an example of why I am so hesitant to switch to the V1. We have a lot of K band in IL. When I am on the highway and K alerts, I am slowing down. If I had the V1, Im not sure what to expect maybe.

i posted a topic stating that i find my self using the X50 more now then the V1 and the reason behind that is because i thought i could handle the falsing well even with adv. logic on witch is like City * City mode suppose to filter more then logic anyway. the v1 is a great RD so is the X50 all good for Highway but idk what to tell u on if u want a V1

Well, when I head to head them I always have to turn off V1's X band. The V1 will pick up escort :?

My V1 rarely falses...

the people that own a V1 and claim that it falses too much dont know how to use the V1 correctly in L mode.
