I got a chance to shoot the new Pro-lite this weekend.
SML was doing a shootout of all the laser guns and i was able to attend.
Here's a pic and my impressions on it.
It's a nice little unit.
easy to operate.
given its cost and size compared to the larger units, i can see where this would be an attractive alternate for departments.
As for performance, it does work well, but it has limitations. it is a bit slower to lock on than the other guns, but still locks on in about a second or so.
the biggest thing i found was that it has a range limitation.
it won't shoot over 2000'.
coming or going, the best i got was a 1998'.
still good range, but the other guns here were pulling 3000'-7000' shots.
now the 7000' shot was a semi, but nonetheless.
As for jamming, the Blinder had no problems with it. JTG.
This wasn't specifically a jammer shootout, so no other jammers were here or tested.
I don't know the pulse rate as of yet, it probably is the same as the PLIII, but not sure.
One intereseting feature on it is a stopwatch, kinda like Vascar. As in, no laser beam or warning. i doubt this feature would be used much, since a point and shoot is much easier, but it is there.
other than that, here's a pic for anyone in the El Paso area. The motor cops use Stalkers on a handlebar mount.
